Thanks for your work on this plugin. I just wanted to say that I tried it and it worked perfectly for me sending out 235 emails with no trouble at all.
The only thing that worries me is the lack of an opt-in system (confirmation email/link) and more importantly, the lack of anti-spam protection. This is the main reason that I’m disactivating it for the moment. I’ll look out for updates.

I know what happens with the user that has this problem:

Nathan- I have installed the plug-in and have inserted the template code as prescribed in the read-me. Everything seems like it it going to work great until I hit the “subscribe” button on the web page. It takes me to a “page not found” page! Any idea what to do?

I had the same problem. Most probably, the user updated the file “naatan_notifyme.php” instead of the file “notifyme.php”

It’s easily solved updating the correct file or changing the name of naatan_notifyme to notifyme

Thanks for the great plugin, by the way!

Nathan, I came over to thank you. This plugin has exactly what I’d been looking for and couldn’t find anywhere else and it’s super easy to use. Thanks!

I tried to subscribe for updates and got a 404.

Sorry about that, the notifyme plugin still has some problems with permalinks, you should be able to subscribe now.

I’ll release a small update soon to fix this.

(this only goes for when you use the automated subscribe form, inside normal pages)

I uploaded the file notifyme.php to the root of WP as suggested
The zip did not have naaten_notifyme.php, as suggested in the readme file

Nothing for this plugin shows up in plugin management

    Hi there,

I have notifyme.php in my root directory and naatan_notifyme.php in my plugin directory, and I have the plugin activated through wordpress and configured with maillistid in the form code replaced with postupdates and I have tried setting up two test subscriptions with two of my other emails, and I get the Success page, but when I look in my wp-admin dashboard under notifyme, none of the subscriptions, or test subscribers, show up as being subscribed to the postupdates mail list.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

    Thanks,
    Josh

I have been looking for something just like this so thank you!
However, I have put everything through, I get the success page but then the subscriber doesn’t show up and I don’t receive an email. Can you help me out?

Also, can the text on the successful subscribe page be changed? Can’t seem to find it.
    Cheers,
    Vicky
